Has Obama Incited His Followers to Violence?

Less than a month ago, when he was down in the polls, Obama reportedly asked his supporters to go on the offensive:

In Elko, Obama tried to anticipate his critics and called on the crowd of about 1,500 to sharpen their elbows, too.

“I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with them and get in their face,” he said.

Following Obama’s call to arms, I’ve heard of at least two incidents where women were verbally assaulted by Obama supporters in a parking lot because the women had McCain bumper stickers on their cars. That’s in California. Apparently, women are much more at risk for this sort of thing in New York City where Obama supporters are actually wielding wooden stakes and using them to beat middle-aged women.

Normally, it’d be unfair to blame something like this on Obama, but it’s completely within the bounds established by the left. After all, the left has accused Palin of inciting violence against Obama by saying he “pals around with terrorists.” So if that’s inciting violence, then clearly telling your supporters to go out and “get in the faces” of Independents and Republicans is too — especially given the fact that his supporters are actually doing it.

Furthermore, the left’s claim was based on a press report the secret service has since investigated and found unsubstantiated. This one is based on a filed complaint by the DA, a confession and photographic evidence.

The only thing that remains to be seen is whether or not these Obama supporters get their own standard-issue brown shirt. According to the photograph this one, at least, wears yellow.
