Democrats Flee Responsibility Like Rats from a Sinking Ship

In a shameful display of buck-passing, Democrats in Congress are refusing to take responsibility for the fact that for the past five years they’ve been obstructing the Bush Administration’s attempts to meaningfully reform oversight of Fannie and Freddie. WaPo has the story (via Right Voices). Here’s the money graph:

Dodd — who along with Democratic Sens. John Kerry, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton were the top four recipients of Fannie and Freddie campaign contributions from 1988 to 2008 — actively opposed such measures and further weakened existing regulation.

Keep that in mind the next time you hear Barack Obama try to blame this mess on the Bush Administration.
