Experience Versus Accomplishment

As the pundits argue about who has more experience, Barack Obama or Sarah Palin and count for how many years one of them did this or that, I’d like to provide some food for thought: Gus Frerotte has 14 years of experience as an NFL quarterback compared to Tom Brady’s 8. But that hardly makes Frerotte the better quarterback. There’s a big difference between being on the team and leading that team to the championship.

The value of a leader isn’t measured with a calendar. It’s measured by what they’ve done by the end of each day.
