Palin and the Alaska National Guard
by Heywood U. Reedmore -- September 3, 2008 at 3:54 pm | In 2008 Election | 1 CommentAs Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin is the Commander-in-Chief of Alaska’s Department of Military and Veteran Affairs (their Army National Guard is just one of eight divisions). This may not seem impressive to the likes of Campbell Brown — at least not as impressive as chairing a committee that has never held a meeting — but it is fair for Brown to question what decisions Palin has made while serving in this capacity (even if she asked it in a slanted, condescending way).
Allow me to provide an answer to Brown and anyone else interested in the topic by directing you to the ADMV’s 2007 Annual Report so you can see for yourself what they’ve been up to under Palin’s leadership.
p.s. It should be added that Tucker Bounds did fumble the response to this question which was not that tricky. Hopefully, they’ll handle it better next time. In his defense, he seemed off-balance from all the baby questions.
